Established in 1991, CEDAR Fund is an independent Christian relief and development organisation serving those in poverty in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, with a vision to build a just and compassionate world. In addition to running projects on community development, anti-human trafficking, children and youth development, education, as well as disaster relief, CEDAR also advocates for justice and promotes the living out of Integral Mission among the Christian community.
CEDAR is currently searching for qualified persons to fill the positions below. Details are as follows:
Programme Officer

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Liaise with overseas field partners on development and relief programmes and projects.
- Facilitate overseas partners to achieve programmatic purposes through coaching and capacity development.
- Travel to developing countries to build and maintain relationships with local partners and to monitor and evaluate projects.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Hong Kong Ministry.
Key Requirements:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operational principles of CEDAR Fund
- Undergraduate or above, preferably majoring in International Development, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of working experience in implementing or monitoring programmes in developing countries and/or responding to humanitarian emergencies is preferred.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Sensitive towards cross-cultural communication.
- Willing to travel, including to high-risk areas.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team.
Work Location: Kwun Tong
Schedule: Monday to Friday (working outside office hours and on the weekends may be required occasionally)

Communications Officer
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with CEDAR Fund’s mission and goals.
- Produce and design communication materials such as periodic publications, blog posts, and news releases in Chinese and English.
- Create and manage social media contents and campaigns, including measuring the impact of social media programmes.
- Conduct presentations and sharing sessions to external organisations, schools and churches for educational and fundraising purposes.
Key Requirements:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operational principles of CEDAR Fund.
- University graduate or above, preferably with a major in Communications, Digital Marketing, or related disciplines.
- At least two years of writing or editorial experience.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Preference will be given to candidates with theological training.

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT/ ACCOUNTANT
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of CEDAR Fund.
- Responsible for daily accounting operations, full sets of accounts, month-end closing, and account reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and supporting schedules.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding donations, project remittances and expense reimbursements.
- Responsible for outdoor assignments if needed, including, but not limited to, donation collection at the post office, cheque bank-in, etc.
- Provide accounting and administrative support to internal departments.
Key Requirements:
- An understanding of the Christian faith and values of CEDAR Fund.
- Diploma or above, preferably with a major in accounting or related disciplines, or other qualifications with LCCI Level 3.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting is preferred.
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and able to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Candidates with more experience will be considered for the accountant position.
