Ethiopia

Most people in Ethiopia rely heavily on income from agriculture and livestock. Droughts or floods caused by climate change make them vulnerable to food crises. Since late 2020, failed rain seasons adversely affected farm yield. Lack of pasture led to the death of livestock. The cost of living crisis affected the livelihood of daily-wage labourers and their families. In response to the needs of vulnerable families, we mobilised churches and communities in the Southwest to serve the poor. The ministry includes forming mutual aid groups, providing training on conservation agriculture and sustainable organic farming, etc.
